HI all, whats the best way to stop squeaking bushes on my Mk Indy, i took them all out a couple of months a go and greased them with copper slip, now
the squeaking is back
Turn the radio up
Assuming you've got one

copper slip isn't the best grease for this, it's the black moly one that works best and only coat the metal insert before putting it back
in. It's a good idea to do all the bushes like that as they will wear far less and the ride will be smoother, and no squeaking
Any grease that contains petrol or components from petrol will react with polybushes, you need to use a moly based grease as above.
Something I need to attend to.. Couple of points worth thinking about/discussing:
1) squeaks indicate binding/dry bushes. so
a) is the crush tube ~0.5mm longer than the bush?
b) do the crush tubes fit tightly in the brackets (i.e. don't bend the brackets to make fit.
c) Check for binding by removing shocks/springs.
2) fit grease nipples to centre of eye tube on bones to allow simple re-grease?
3) Probably worth stopping the squeaks as binding might be occurring and this can lead to wishbone eye failure (crack along welds)?
4) It might be worth changing crush tubes to stainless steel to stop rusting/binding of bushes.
5) Use correct grease for the poly bush.
Cheers
Dan

As already suggested have you checked your crush tubes? Common problem on Luego's is that the crush tubes are too short ,might be worth doing a search on crush tubes, it's been covered several times. Used Rubbergrease to lubricate my bushes
Thanks for the replies, will get the proper stuff and get it sorted
