Best advice I got was dont let the ball bearings out of any of the others and pop down to the motor factors to get a new one.

If you search or some one else can find it there is a post that explains the DARK ARTS of rebuilding a CV joint. I never got it to work.

Sorry its not the most helpfull advice.

If my memeory serves me right you do it by fitting opposing balls and tilting the inner and outer appropriatle relative to each other so that you can just get each ball (individually) into the middle of it's cage slot. It is also easier without the shaft fitted into the centre of the uj.

Sympathies... I killed the first joint out of four by not keeping everything marked and reassembling in the correct order.

Although I got it back together, it would not articulate freely. So I binned it. The new joint was only 25 squid or so.
