some old rims. The grip is however very good on 048's they do not like the wet unsurprisingly.
Having recently purchased my fisher fury i took it out for its first proper drive today.
Now when i bought it i knew the tyres were poor (Woosung Dark Horses) eekeek but thought i could live with them for a few months because they were
brand new. Erm....Or not!
To be frank they are hurrendous.
So i have come home and am now on the hunt for some replacements.
After some quick research i have probably decided that Yoko A539's are the way to go at circa £50 a corner they get good reviews and seem to do
the job.
However in case i am missing something obvious i thought i would throw it open to the locostbuilders knowledge bank and see what you guys
reccomend!
Looking for 185/60r13 for fast road / track use (I'm planning on doing my first track day in the new year).

Yoko a048 or r888 or kuhmo v70 for out and out track day grip.
But Toyota do a range for fast road. Think they are a tr1 or something
For the track get some second hand slicks, £15 a pop, I used my yoko 048's and they were destroyed after 2 x sessioned days Just stick them on

yoko 021r are grippy and work in the wet. Not as full on as 048 or 888, but designed for motorsport.

If you want a really good road tyre which is ultra grippy, go for a Toyo 350, 185 70 13's cost me £37.50 a corner
Thanks for all the info! That's really interesting about the slicks I'll have to consider that. Maybe once my track day cherry is popped!
I have asked the same question over on pistonheads and the ao21's are coming up highly rated aswel. Just dont seem to be able to find many
suppliers for them?
The toyos surprise me to be honest, please dont think im being rude but are they really that good at such a low price?
I did a quick search and it appears that toyo do a TOYO CF1 which is slightly more expensive than the 350?

just to reiterate the general consensus above.
R888's and 048's are fantastic dry tyres. I'm running 888 as my daily summer tyre.
HOWEVER...
you do not get to choose the weather for your track day:

So, if it's your first track day and you either:
a) don't have a spare set of wheels
b)would like you keep your car pointing the right way in the wet (on and off the track)
go for A-021's, they are grippy in the dry and the wet.
