Looking to get rid of the bottom rubberised doughnut joint on the Sierra int shaft.
Are all Sierra rack pinions the same spline?
I have my eye on this shaft on ebay

Thanks

I've got a similar thread over here-

Seems the power steering racked Sierras ones have the wrong spline for the Escort rack (if that's what you have)
Thanks Nick
Didnt want to hijack, as your an Escort rack and Im Sierra.

I think the same must apply. The splines on the Escort rack and the manual Sierra rack must be the same, just the power assisted rack that's bigger.
I used a Sierra joint on a Mk 2 escort rack, I think ford rack splines are fairly standard.

But does the Sierra rack have the same spline as the escort one?
