hi just wondering the best place to get a spanner for the front and rear shocks. and how much do you compress the springs (on an mk).

you need a C - Spanner, ebay, rally design, etc sell them.

The ride height is adjusted by the spring seats so we cant answer how much to compress the springs... its different for everyone.

Or you do the smart thing, and take it to Matt and Ivan at ProComp in Brum. It'll be the best ~£200 you ever spent!
