Just bought an Escort donor – can any body recommend the best order to strip it down? The book just lists the donor parts. I was hoping someone might have an idiots guide – EG Engine, gearbox & suspension in one go, prop shaft first etc? I’ve only got a single garage and don’t want to keep falling over everything!.

I used a Cortina, but same difference ? all i did was strip the lot in a weekend, a fair few bits i found i did'nt need later but ........ the reason i did it that way, to get rid of scrap shell asap, her indoors that has to be obayed. Just make last bit off the bits that stop you moving it around, that would be the axle's/wheels, enjoy......
