ford hubs on MX5 uprights?
Talon Motorsport - 14/3/12 at 02:43 PM

Has any body come across a way of making ford hubs fit MX5 uprights, does any body currently make alloy hubs for this? I know cortina uprights are very simular to the MX5 and there is the Rally Design option but I was looking for a cheaper way round it.
I know I could make PDC adaptors but I would prefer to just make new hubs for a direct fit.

Redrill the mx5 hubs, then use studs with a smaller knurled/splined section. That's how I've done it for recent customer work sent overseas. No complaints yet, though there's not a lot of metal left on the outside after all is done.

Cheers,

Am I right in thinking you have to replace whole hub/bearing as a unit if bearings are shot?
If so then consider that cost when doing your sums.....

I looked at that option and thought better of it for that reason.
