I have managed to remove my front uprights/stub axles from my donor MX5 running gear but am having trouble getting the lower ball joint and upper connections removed from it. Any ideas why they won't just pop out with a bit of gentle persuasion? I would like to get them cleaned up this weekend but this is really putting a spanner in the works.

Cheers guys. Got one of the splitter tools and with 1 or 2. Swift blows with the hammer and it was sorted. Ver annoying after nearly an hour of wondering why I couldn't split the two parts with a hammer alone.
