Now that I have massive power in my SR20DET MK car, and my testosterone levels are where they should be, I am noticing that my MX5 front brakes are
not great. I could change the pads to Hawk or something, but also thought of the Willwood calipers you can get as a replacement. Lighter, smaller,
more powerful, apparently.
Has anyone in a locost or the like, made a comparison? It isn't really the same thing asking the MX5 people, as they are in way heavier cars.
i find that my powerlite's stop my saab turbo setup pretty well. although the other day i did have a bit of a brown underpants moment. missed a set of lights on a round about and lost the group. went full bore between two roundabouts to catch them up only to find i wasn't stopping as well as expected, looked down at the speedo and realised in the heat of the moment was going quite a bit faster than i thought i was going lol. i think if i were to do it again i would go for the midilight next time just for that extra bit of head room
I run Midlite calipers/Hawk pads and vented discs. I was running Powerlite with plain discs but I was melting the disc !!!
