My shocks have 28 clicks of adjustment. So logic tells me to set them to 14 clicks and work from there to find the ideal settings.
However, from fully anticlockwise the first few movements of the adjuster (maybe a full turn of the adjuster screw) feel rather vague and
"slightly notchy". After this initial travel the adjuster starts to make a definite "click". I'm more worried about getting
opposite sides of the car set differently than the actual number of clicks. Anyone else had the same issue ?
Other issue is that after 28 clicks (full adjustment) the adjuster will continue to turn clockwise, ad infinitum. So no use trying to turn it to the
other end of the scale and work backwards.
welcome to the mysterious world of Spax!!
I had the same troubles on a couple of cars that I (mistakenly) used Spax adjustables on......................
Always been the way with Spax -- the first click is the one you can just feel. 14 is too high a starting point start at 5 --- always start testing underdamped and stop adding clicks when you get no definite improvement -- excessive damping is a sure way to spin into the bushe in the blink of an eye.
thanks, 5 clicks it is then, with the first being the vague one !
