Where to get recon callipers ?
Andybarbet - 20/4/05 at 09:03 AM

I am after a set of front and rear reconditioned brake callipers, my donor was an F reg 2.0i Pinto sierra sapphire, anyone know of a good supplier ? i will be exchanging my set.
My local place has said £38 each for front and £49 each for the rears, these are exchange prices and do not include VAT.....Is this a good price ?
They are in stock there.

Cheers !

I'm pretty sure that Brake International:

http://www.brakesint.co.uk

gave me a better price than that.

I got my fronts for £27 ea exchange inc VAT from local factors. I dont think they do mail order tho. (Coulthards Motor Factors, Bishop Auckland). IIRC reconned by AMK. I think they made a mistake with price or gave me top trade discount?? as they were way cheaper than other suppliers.

Cant help with rears.

i can recomend Brakes International too.

i have probably brought about half a grand of stuff from them over the last 6 months ( for the kit and my capri ) and they offer a top service.

replaced a faulty caliper with no question in a 2 day turnaround!

Can recommend MNR very strongly.

Could not beat their price on sierra rear calipers even with trade discount at my usual parts place, and the service is superb
