Fiat brake bias
Hornet - 23/5/05 at 07:08 AM

Sorry to ask such a silly question, its too late to check on my car as system all bled up... If you screw down onto the bias thingymabob... does it reduce braking effort to the rear or does it increase it?

cheers

I believe so!

Screwing it down reduces the rear effort AFAIK.

Best to leave the adjustment screw out for SVA- they can't argue you shouldn't have it then!

Cheers,
James

Screwing it should increase it -- if it works the same as all the other load sensing valves and the Mini one.

Pushing the piston in increases the compresion on the spring above the valve plunger therfore it needs a higher presure from the master cylinder before it can close the port supplying the rear brakes.

pushing in decreases pressure to the rears
