Steering column

I have just chopped all the sierra bits and pieces off the upper column. All looks fine aprt from the fact there is now a fair gap directly behind the sierra wheel before the collar starts.

A freind mentioned that I could push the upper column more into the upper uj on the lower column but I can't do that as I have a little locating lug on the upper column connecting clamp that locates in the lower column.

It functions fine but looks a bit funny, is this ok for SVA?? I can't see why not but thought I'd ask.

Rich.

It's fine as it is in the non-compliant area... refer to SVA manual for more detail. Everything behind the wheel (as you face it) is the zone. Therefore the bigger the wheel the bigger the zone.

yip,but did you know that if your gear change is behind the steering wheel then the edges of the paddle have to be radiused ,my m8s car failed on this
