Caliper-upright bolt torque
flak monkey - 16/6/05 at 08:11 PM

I'm sure this has been mentioned before on here, but i cant find the post...

Whats the torque figure for the cortina caliper to the upright bolts?

I have all the other torques (disk-hub etc) but not caliper to upright.

Oh and i do have a pair of locking tabs...handy

Cheers,
David

FT. But not so FT it shears off.

Being serious now..
The sierra caliper carrier to hub is 51 - 66 NM according to my autodata book. So somewhere around there i would think.

I usually give them a nip up with a bar.

Ford Cortina brake caliper to front upright: 45-50 lbf ft (61-68 Nm) according to Haynes manual.

Hope this helps,

David
