Ive just got a new prop. I didnt realise i needed to keep hold of the old prop to diff bolts. I only have two.
They are odd size - M10 x 1.0 10.9's. I have been to local engineering supplies place and managed to get hold of M10 x 1.0 8.8's.
Q - if i use 2 of the donor bolts and 2 of the new bolts what will be the effect? Does anyone know what stresses are involved and if the 10.9's
were overkill anyway????? I would like to think that being a much heavier car the Sierra set-up in a Sierra would have seen higher loads, but of
course being a sportscar the se7en is rarely driven softly.
What do you think / has anyone a couple of spare bolts?
Cheers,
Darren.
Best thing is to go to ford and get four new ones just to be on the safe side, not much cash for four.
Rich.
