Where can I find resonably priced split rim wheels?
Also will a 13" split rim wheel fit over sierra xr4x4 calipers?
Any help would be much appreciated.
thanks
Carnut
You won't find reasonably priced split rims anywhere, but if you want some quite expensive wheels, then here are a few links:

Split Rims
ring around a few of the places that advertise in the back of motoring news.
I'm guessing by your post that the type of wheel isn't an issue, you just want a thin rim to clear the brakes??
Some cheap 13" secondhand splitrims shouldn't be to tricky to get hold of. ( I paid £40 for a slightly manky but straight and not damaged
set of four 8" x 15" Compomotive split rims a year or so ago, there are bargains around!)

I just assumed he was after new wheels. In the good old days, CCC used to have plenty of second hand
stuff advertised in the back pages. I don't know what it's like now. All Chav stuff?
It did indeed have some good stuff in it, but it went bust 2 years? ago now. The editor changed (Steve Bennet was the last good editor) and it turned
into "expensive track day car magazine" and promptly went bust as EVO already had that market covered.
The nearest replacement on the shelves now is PPC magazine, which is still very much fledgling, but very good all the same. Not much in the
classifieds in there though.
Motorsport News (surely everybody still calls it "motoring news"!!!) is probably the best place to start a search now, not necessarily from
the ads, but if you ring a few of the places that advertise in the back, they will know someone, or have a friend of a friend etc.
Practical Performance Car is the CCC replacement, and it's a very good mag.
It has a classifieds section, though last one I bought didn't have a huge amount in it.
Thanks. There's a specialist bookshop in Melbourne that stocks imported comics, so I'll ask Mrs. R to pick me up a copy of PPC tomorrow.
