
Just been bleeding the brakes on my Calibra and took a look at the diff whilst I was there.
Compared to the Ford 7" I've got its miniscule (although its not ally). Certainly it can handle the power/torque pretty much any engine in a
locost could chuck at it and I'd think it would be an excellent choice.
What other diffs have been used in the past? (I know Freelanders have been).

I thought Calibras were front wheel drive like Cavaliers.
must be a 4wd one 
How much they weigh, cost and also ratio would possibly affect suitability.

When they did the 4x4 cavs and calibras they borrowed the rear diff off a V8 holden. Would have thought it weighs a tonne! Aint an lsd either.

All V8 Holdens are LSD- are you sure they didn't use the diff from the Carlton/Omega?
