Desperate for help guys, SVA retest on wed!
I have new discs, pads and now new calipers.
After a short spell of use, the fronts are locking up to the point the car is undrivable even without the brake peddle pressed.
Why aren't the brakes relasing enough to stop them binding?
It has new pipework, everything!
Any help appreciated! Will some worn pads help?
Cheers Ben
Have you got any play between the master cylinder piston and brake lever push rod? - there should be a little.
Cheers
Mark
As Mark says above.
Push rods need to be fully screwed into the bias bar trunnions.
If that does not work then it is possibly a faulty m/c
i had a little stone trapped in the brake m/c ,infront of the piston where the push rod goes in ,which did the same thing that yours is doing,,,the stone bounced in from the footwell ,still havnt found a rubber boot to fit
