Does anyone know if there is a difference between the sierra handbrake cable for disc brakes and the one used for drums. I have a feeling that the one i have is for drum brakes. It has a spring from the end of the outer cable to a nipple on the inner cable?

the drum cable has nipples crimped on, the disc cable has 'eyes' for want of a better word.

I thought that I had the wrong cable so I will be popping back to Partco and see if they can order the right one this time.
