Has anyone ad any experiance in driving a 7 with a spool or locked differential? Are they like I have heard a knighmare to drive? I know they will
scrub tyres quicky but this doesnt realy bother me too much.

: I should imagine cornering is quite interesting. trying to get round corners in my go kart at anything above 20mph is a bit of a struggle, i have
never driven a seven type car with locked diff tho...
really isn't a good idea on a tight corner you either have to break traction or have the car setup to lift the inside rear wheel.
Chain gang Frazer Nashes were only drivable on the road because on any tight corner the inside rear wheel would lift.
Likewise I can remember driving a brand new E type Jag ith the Salsbury plate LSD set so tight parking it was embarassing.
I should point out while I am (just) old enough to have driven a brand new E Type -- I a not old enough to have driven a brand new Chain Gang
Frazer-Nash. -- but I think the later would have been much more fun.
Come to think of it todays BEC Locost are in much the same spirit as the chain gang GN and Frazer-Nash.
