Is it possible to get a 52" capri or cortina axle of the English type where the diff goes in from the propshaft side,or are they all salisbury types.

'fraid they're all saisburys.

Are they easy to set up/rebuild.

There is a wider Capri English axle available. Not sure of the exact width but is wider than the Escort; 50" seems to ring a bell. There was a discussion on the forum a couple of months ago, and saw one for sale on ebay a few weeks ago.

not too bad but not as easy as the English! (which I guess is exactly what you already knew!)

I have the ford "Boreham Bible" and I can probably scan in the appropriate pages if that will help at all.

Pretty sure some Mk2 & Mk3 1300 (and 1600 ?) Capris had the english axle , used to service a Blue T reg (78) 1300 with an english axle.

The Mk3 Zephry/Zodiac would have a wide English axle --- rare or what.
