control arm angle question
derf - 2/11/05 at 04:59 AM

Can I have the control arms that go from the rack to the knuckle angle forward. I will be able to get them level with my lower arms, which should get rid of most bump steer, at least according to the literatre that ive read. I just cant remember if I can angle the arms forward.

The steeering track rods and track rod ends ? --- control arms and knuckles are usually used to reffer to the wisbones and suspension ball joints.

The steering rack should be mounted an inch or 2 behind the the centres of the track rod ends.--- this is what gives some ackerman effect in a rack and pinion steering.

The correct height for the rack is usually a little bit above the height of the lower wishbone pivots.
