all double wishbone rear IRS uprights I have took notice of pick up on 3 points, 2 at bottom and 1 at top, or other way round, is there any reason why you couldn't have 2 at the top and 2 at the bottom?

Would this help stop any unwanted twisting toe in/out forces ? or is it a non starter ?

just throwing ideas around in my head, welcome advice from those that know

Isn't the triangle properly used so one can adjust toe?

yes but all four would be adjutable at upright end, chassis end or both ?

That's how the F27 used to be, with rod ends to get the adjustment.

Rod ends where they joing the upright as easier to get at to play with.
Bottom wants to have a toe link

Not an expert but I'm using uprights with two pickups top and bottom and rose joints on the inboard end of the wishbones. I think I'll get better adjusment with the rose joints inboard, (although not so easy to access)

With 4 points it is over located -- generally this isn't good engineering practice.

Even using rod ends, it just doesn't work.
Mix, with the adjustability (rod ends) inboard, the whole upright and wishbones will move around wildly when you make even the slightest adjustment.
It's best to mount the rod ends outboard and use just three per side.
Actually, I have used rod ends inboard on an IRS (just the lower ones), but I never intended adjusting them.

would that be because as you drive forward you are trying too turn the wheel inwards at the top ?

i'm not picking, just trying too get things best i can with what ive got.

i would think its more to do with where the shocker bolts on, basically you may as well have the two joints sharing the load. Hence its usually 2 at the bottom. I would be suprised if sloppy toe was a problem if you are using rose joints, i thought they had no play?
