I'm having a problem with mushrooms: the length of the upper ball joint thread seems too short for my GTS mushrooms. When I put the taper in, the nyloc doesn't actually seem to lock - the top of the mushroom just seems too thick. Do I have to adjust the mushroom in any way? Or get an upper ball joint with a longer thread?

What upper balljoint are you using? Probably best if you use the same one that GTS supply via their website - then its guaranteed to fit

Have u tried tightening it all the way up? It could be that the taper isnt properly home in the mushroom.

IIRC there are two commonly used upper ball joints, the transit TRE and the transit draglink. I seem to recall that they are different lengths but same taper.
