Can anyone tell me is a granada mk3 complete rear axle assembly hubs,halsfshafts diff, etc , isthe same as a Sierra or Saphire in terms of its dimensions and fittings ? so could it be used instead of a Sierra rear end for an indy ?

As far as I know they're slightly wider and of course they're five stud, which would mean different wheels front and back.

And most likely a nasty heavy 7.5" diff too. I've heard the hubs and bearings are all bigger too. Stick with sierra.

If in a scrapyard, take a look under a frog front scorpio, 4 stud wheels, rear end looks delicate and very useable, the rear uprights look ideal for an IRS setup

Still a 7.5" in a bugeye scorp and the same trailing arm design as all the rest - but yeah they are back to 4-stud for some reason. An even later bugeye scorp will have a horrible rubber bush mount growing sideways out of the rear diff cover - uuurrrghhh!

I have a bugeye 24v scorp at home right now and can confirm that the rear hubs are the same as sierra, but the carriers are different in that they are like the cossie ones with longer caliper ears to suit the bigger discs fitted. I know this because we swapped a load of parts over when the scorp destroyed a wheel bearing and hub.

I think (is this right Liam?) that the scorp also uses the bigger (2wd cossie style) lobro joints (???108mm vs 100mm pcd??)
