leaking sierra rear caliper

One of my rear calipers is leaking out of the part where the handbrake lever goes into the casting. It is only a tiny amount but needs to be fixed.

Is it likely to be repairable or do I need a new one?

Might just need a seal.

Sierra rear calipers are a bit of a mofo to strip and rebuild, I did mine.. if I was doing it again I might just exchange them with brakes international for recon ones. much less hassle, and you know you're getting completely good ones back.

Oh, I just re-read that. if you have brake fluid leaking out of there then presumably the seal at the base of the adjuster has gone. that is included in the seal kit but will need a complete strip down to get to it, which involves compressing the adjuster and finding some circlip pliers that will fit. I managed it using a two-leg puller, deep socket and mini circlip pliers from screwfix, but like I said - it's a mofo.

Then again, if you have plenty of time and want to learn how the things work inside, it is doable
