think someone said they were from a mk2 golf, or at least you can use the handbrake cable from a mk2 golf. VAG pretty sure though. There was a detailed thread on it a while back

yes this has been discussed before, have a lookie in the search section, but to save you the time, they are based on the mk2 golf, made of Ali for light weight, weighs about a kilo less than the std sierra rear caliper, and as mentioned above it wont rust. im thinking of getting some for my DAX, check out rally design for the full spec but i think they will take rear solids, vented and drilled up to 14mm wide(dont quote me, it may be 12mm)

hope this helps

ALex

p.s i think it can be used as a direct replacement for the sierra rear as well

I've got the Rally Design kit with these in, they're on the car but the car isn't near enough finished to see how well they work yet.

They're a bit of a fiddle to fit, you have to machine the hubs down to take the discs they use (Escort fronts possibly, not entirely sure). The main struggle I had was actually getting it all together, the bell on the discs is so deep you have to remove the caliper carrier to fit the disc and with my uprights I can't do that with the hub carrier in place. Cue a big song and dance with putting bits on so I can fit other bits then taking them off again to fit still more bits, putting them back on again and so on until finally its all in one piece. Hope I don't have to change the discs too soon...
