carnut - 7/4/06 at 09:24 AM

Just been to see a 2.3L Diesel Estate Sierra and it had a 3.9 diff! Was at liest hoping for a 3.38!

Nope,
they definately exist and they look like this

Got this from a car that was supposed to have a 3.6 LSD in it after agreeing to pay £40!
It's too long a ratio for me so i'm sticking with my 3.38

Dont suppose you want to sell it do you?

chockymonster - 7/4/06 at 12:10 PM

MNR are having it from me but I think they've already sold it on.

They have a couple of 3.14 diffs though.

Bit pricey though

carnut - 8/4/06 at 11:53 AM

Thats mine, dont any of you dare bid on it!

Hellfire - 8/4/06 at 12:15 PM

Carnut, are you after the diff for the drag strip? If so, would you not be better off with a 3.92 LSD?

carnut - 9/4/06 at 07:18 AM

I'll be using a 3.62 welded up diff for the strip as a 3.92 maxs out in top.

The 3.14 is to fit in an lsd for the road and track. Also will be useful on the long trek to Le Mans and the Nurburgring.
