Smiths used different threads, if it is the small one used by Triumph Lotus a 60s Ford one defo fits eg Ford Anglia, Mk1 Cortina, Corsair.
Mk2 Cortina should also be OK

Dan , you might find that fitting a speedo cable to a type nine in a Luego is a tight fit . If you can get one in then I think that Europa Car Spares can make a cable to your requirements .

Also Speedy cables (if they still exist) are excellent..just tell them what fits on each end and how long it needs to be, and bingo.....job done.

edit:...yes they still exist.

linky,

Going by this mines an SAE thread as its an 80mm case. So what does this mean?

Don't forget you might have to get the speedo re-calibrated to match your final drive ratio

If you get the cable from the same peeps, ie speedy cables, you might be able to ask for a discount with the recalibration as well ?? It's worth asking
I'll have to do the same if I keep the clocks I have
