QD Steering Boss
RazMan - 23/10/06 at 10:15 PM

These are great to allow salad dodgers like me to get in and out of a tight cabin area but when they are plonked on top of the Ford boss they lengthen the steering column by about 50mm or so which makes the switch stalks too far away from the wheel for comfort.

Is there any way of getting around this problem?
I have ruled out surgical alterations already

That's what I have, you get used to it - particularly if you have a small steering wheel

Cheers

Glue extensions onto the stalks at right angles?

Grow your fingernails a couple of inches. Just the job!

It will take too long to grow my nails but I have found a low profile QD boss on eBay.

You sometimes see ally sierra stalks on fleebay, these would bend to your requirements.
