there are some cheap rose joints on fleabay

i was planning on using the Rorty locost IRS plans so would you all say that an outlay of £70 if worth it to get rose joints or shouldi just stick to the bushes?

how much £££ would i be looking at for 16 bushes?

with the IRS plans i need to use 6 rose joints but they seem a waste of money unless im going the whole way with the rose joints....

what should i do?

cheers

Matt

Seems cheap but sounds like the £1,200 budget is starting to move already! Oli.

just trying to work out a budget for the car and i was wondering if the bushes are anywhere near the cost of those rose joints and if so i would budget for the joints

i see what you mean, the £1200 buget is a bit tight so i might just as well forget the rose joints

cheers

Matt

I haven't seen Rorty's plans, but I would have thought that when building any IRS
some form of toe and camber adjustment should be built in.

I have used rose joints on one end of the wish bone and bushes on the other.

ditto.
Rose joints on the outside rear, fixed bushes on the chassis end allows camber and toe in adjustment (and keeps it like the front).

Ditto on my GTT as well.

Cheap rose joints are a false economy on something like suspension as they almost always wear out very quickly even if they are strong enough (which doesnt bear thinking about if they aren't). Good quality rose joints are just, well bloody expensive

I have to agree with Chris There are lots of cheap rose joints around but what really tells you the difference is there load ratings. Funny most of those i have seen on Flea bay don't seem to have this info.

speak to Nick Skidmore on here about rose joints, he knows the score....they are not cheap but his prices are as good as they get
