Just picked up my ali tank today, and it looks f'in fantastic

But I don't want it to go "furry" so I'm guessing I should paint it with something. I was thinking of that Carlife Rubbercoat paint stuff, what do you think?

Just make sure you paint it on a warm day! I painted the bottom of my chassis and tank with it last Jan and it took weeks to cure. Good stuff. About to paint the inside of the wheel arches with it.

where did you get your tank from? and if you don't mind telling, how much?

You could also have it clear powder coated; just mask off any filler holes/threads first. I apply clear powder coat to some of the wheels I make (as do a lot of comercial wheel manufacturers), and it lasts virtually for ever, and is deeeeeeep! It looks fantastic over some of the coloured anodized finishes.

Put it inside a plastic one. That should keep it clean. I've never seen clear powder coat advertised here in U.K. ,sounds good.

It's definitely about, as Rortie says, they use it on wheels, I've seen an article about it.
