Easy, whip of the brake back plates, bash out the half shafts, undo all the bolts around the diff and out it plops, two of us can change a diff in
situ at the track in under 10 mins...

Viper 2 problems. One your will laught at.
I spent ages trying to undo the backplate bolts with a spanner until I notices the access holes to get a socket in
The second though, do you actualy clump the back plate as it is in the way of the end of the half shafts that don't seem to want to budge.
Or am I going about this the wrong way too?

sorry mate should have been a bit clearer, you realy need a slide hammer to get the shaft out...this would bolt over the wheel studs, got anything you
could improvise? i made mine out of an old half shaft...don't suppose you have an old half shaft, no probably not...how about bolting a bit of
flat plate accross the studds (wider than the back plate) and belting that alternating either side of the hub (if you get my drift) you only need to
move it about 10mm to frr the bearing...

not just old diff oil
new stuff aint nice smelling either, and it don't taste very good.

you know the thing laying under car fiilling
dif with oil not paying attention oil overflows mouth in perfect position to catch oil defor it hits floor. not to be recomended.
