Anyone running 16's?
speedyxjs - 26/2/07 at 07:38 PM

My donor car has lattice wheels (which i quite like) but the wheel and tyre combinationis a bit too big for a locost!
Has anyone any pictures of 16 inch wheels on there car so i can see what they would look like?
Also if i do like the look on 16's i will need different tyres. The current ones are 225/55 ZR 16. Anyone know what size tyres i will need for them to fit locost wheel arches?

They will be ok at a push nice wide arches

Been some postings on this before, beware of over tyring the seven type cars.
They are light and you will probably never get tyres that big up to temp therfore not the best grip you could get. Also you have a bit off suspention in the tyre wall so very low profiles can lead to a harsher ride than you could otherwise have.

Mine's got 17 (which apparently is a no no for handling). So I guess 16 would look ok with not quite such a low profile tyre.

You are better off with 15" or 17" for tyre choice and prices...I would go for 15" and no less than a 50 profile.

16" with 50 series tyres, but its a Viento so a little bigger all round.
