Just trying to get an estimate of what I should expect to pay for components; in particular coritina hubs, uprights, disks and calipers.
I've been watching them go on ebay for more than I bid ;-) but what should I expect to pay?
NB: Used the search but was left wanting :-(

Try Hyundai Stella, they are the same.
Rally Design have some new nice alloy ones at the right money, Iv'e fitted some to a Rocket. Don't buy p100 as the stubs a different size.
Dont pay more than £50 a pair. Get the seller to take off the callipers to save post cost. They weigh 5 kilos each! You wont want them anyway.
Willwood M16's are about 1kilo and cost £89 again from Rally Design.
Hope that helps, kind regards Stig Mills
I paid £80 for the first pair including almost new calipers. Then I picked up a spare pair with two pairs of callipers for £30 which is below there
value I'd reckon.
Cheers
I paid £100 for mine with new discs and bearings included, still not sure if that was too much (it felt like it at the time!) but I've seen them
go for more since
Cheers
Alex
Cheers fellas.
I can't find cortina uprights on RallyDesigns website, hubs yes, uprights no. Do I need to phone? I don't want sierra uprights.
You might want to search the forum for alloy uprights, some fairly experienced people on here would recommend you stick with the steel Cortina or Sierra items.
RCV02 Rally design cat number @£195 a pair but they are out of stock! Stig
Paid £30 for the pair of mine. Going rate now seems about £50 at the banger meets.

Aftermarket hubs are more widely avaliable now as well
(Raceleda are the only company of ally uprights though, and very good they are too )
Jason
Hi although to be fair the only ally replacment ones that have been certificated and tested are the westfield ones.
cheers matt
Oops, I must do more home work

Outbid on ebay again -> Now at £112.
I've noticed
these with a buy it now of £75. Anything I should be wary of?

You will need new discs and recon calipers. Which should add up to around £50 in total.
Other than that, you should be ok.
David
PS looks like that might be one of the banger racing boys from back home

Might be cheaper to go to a banger meet then :-)
£30 wasn't it.
If you ask around at a banger meet you will usually find someone who's racing or has raced a cortina recently. You will just need to check the
steering arms havent been bent (never seen a pair that have suffered that much). I paid £30 for mine from one of the local banger boys. They are
getting wise to the kit car industry though (Tiger get a lot of their cortina uprights from the local banger lads) and so have started to increase
their prices a bit. Wouldnt expect to pay more than £50 though, that would probably pay for their car, so they would be happy with that.
