Stiffness and plunge!

Ooh err, well today i've had a long day in the garage, got mu diff and de-dion tube mounted as well as put hubs and shafts in. My question is when the shafts are fitted (lobro) how much should they plunge/slide in the joints, if i grab each one there is probably only a couple of mm on both. I'm thinking i'm going to end up having some made.Second question is after replacing all the hub bearings how stiff should they be to turn? These even when not torqued fully (my wrench only goes to 210Nm) are well stiff.
Thanks guys

Can only answer the bearings; mine were stiff too in the beginning but a few turns of the wheel made them looser quicly. Had to do the torqueing and wheel turning a few times. Easiest if the driveshafts are not fitted yet.

Oh, forgot. One guy I know uses the engine to turn the wheels while te wheels were in the air. After a few minutes running he checks the temperature on the bearings. If they don't get hot it should be ok.

Found it a bit to risky myself: what if it isn't good; are the bearings damaged? But you can try it.

Not too sure about that, and besides my engine isn't running as yet. Thanks for the input, still need to know about these shafts though!
