Brake Disc Offsets

I am trying to find a larger disc which has the same offset as my Capri vented jobbies.

Basically I am upgrading by going for larger (but solid) discs and making new caliper mounting brackets to suit. I remember seeing a database of sorts which listed all of the available diameters & offsets & what they fitted - eg. 245mm Capri discs are same offset as 275mm discs from another Ford.

Any ideas guys? I just got a quote from Rally Design and they quoted me £270 just for discs & brackets

Have you tried hispec? they supplied a larger disc for my princess pattern four pots for my cortina uprights..

Good tip Ned - I'll give them a ring

*edit* They have got 260mm Princess discs (actually modified BMW ones) but they are vented. I am not sure that it would be worth the hassle for 15mm extra diameter - not much of an upgrade. Only £30 each though

Think those are the ones I've got. Would be handy to know what bmw they are off, but i suspect they must re-drill them for the ford stud pattern anyway..

Some good info there Mal but no actual measurements regarding offsets. However there are a few clues and maybe the Cosworth 283mm discs are a good way to go.

As I said earlier, Rally Design quoted me over £200 for the right combo, but I was really hoping to choose an 'off the shelf' solution and Cossie discs are around £30 each - another £50 for fabbing some brackets and I could save a fair bit of dosh

Raz,

Disc Brakes Australia linky have full dimensions (other than PCD ) in their catalogue. They (fairly obviously) cater mostly for cars sold in the Australian market, but it might give you some ideas.
