My cat and me are interested in making a chain diff. We get this one from a Ibiza and we are trying to disassemble it.

What are these ? Big rivets ?

Do we have to use a drill to disassemble it ?

Aah, those are the notorious (if you ever owned a VW) 'diff rivets', well known for failing and taking big chunks out of the gearbox casing with them. It's not a case of if they'll fail or not, but when they will. VW sell a replacement bolt kit for them, just drill them out and replace with the bolts on reassembly
