As the local numpties at my Ford stealer can't work FINIS out, what is the spec on the pinch bolt for the sierra upright..?
It seems to be M12, but coarse threaded, unlike the nut and bolt he's sold me....
Anyone who can help wwith a supplier too would be appreciated !
Cheers
Pete
Ours is a standard pitch, so I guess it's just a M12?
do you need to know the finis number? if so i can find it out for you.
1.75mm is standard ISO on an M12, 1.5mm is fine pitch

drilling is possibly better anyway if your uprights are anywhere near as rusty as mine were - the thread was debatable!
I was just looking up about m12 threads, bit of a coincidence that! Wish there was some proper rule about what threads count as what, without just
looking at a chart.

Uprights are brand new, just need new bolts to finish off !
Catch 22 situation of wanting to threadlock for security but copper slip so they don't sieze !

M5x0.8
M6x1.0
M8x1.25
M10x1.5
M12x1.75
M14x2
M16x2
i'm reasonably sure that's how it goes. they're all standard coarse pitches for the thread sizes. M14 and 16 i may be wrong on.

Tom, they sound about right to me.
It's worth pointing out that unlike the UNC/UNF inch sizes where there is a standard coarse and a standard fine, metric threads have standard
thread which is coarse, but there can be several fine threads rather than one particular one.
Moral: Always add the pitch to the description when ordering/enquiring.
