Diff woes - lucky day!
andyharding - 13/6/07 at 02:34 PM

I thought I'd put my new 3.6 diff in today ready for Newark. Get everything stripped down and the drive shafts are too big for the new diff Off to the scrappy.

Now I have 1x 3.3 diff with correct push in holes and I managed to blag a 3.6 LSD for £40!!!!!!

So hopefully, by the end of the week I should have a 3.3 LSD

Er yes. Just fitted it and can't get out of 2nd gear round town. Doh. Was hoping to make 1st more usable which it is but the rest aren't now. Looks like a new box is the only way to solve that problem. (can pull off in 2nd and hit 60MPH at 6000RPM now so 0-60 doesn't need a gear change )

On another note, you CANNOT just remove the flanges from a flange type diff and use push in shafts. The lengths are wrong - at least on the LSD.

New plan - make some drive shafts with a flange only at the diff end and use the 3.6 LSD as it stands.
