I have a 2.75 rack on mine and it isn't too fast at all.

I don't know if they're all the same but the Capri racks I've seen have a much longer splined shaft where the column flexible coupling fits.

A 2.25 rack on a 10" steering wheel might be a bit heavy for road use but probably ok for racing. I have just changed my 2.4 for a 2.9 (Escort rack) as I found it hard work on long runs.

My Striker has a 2.2 rack with a 260mm steering wheel and it's superb! It can be a bit lively at times, but goes exactly where you point it!

If the rack ball joints on the capri are not the same distance as the escort rack (if correctly positioned) you will get bump steer.
