diff out put shafts-removal

As per title, how do I do it?
I have a sierra 3.62 LSD bolt on drive shafts. And I want to remove the out put shafts from the diff to clean and paint them. Do I have to tack the back cover off the diff?

As far as I'm aware, you just undo the bolts (allen key) that hold the CV joint to the diff and remove the whole lot (at least that's what i did on my Mk II Granada). Might take a bang or two with a mallet once the bolts are out.

Yes you do. There are circlips to remove so that you can then remove the flanges.

If they're bolt on @ both ends (ie Lobro) then you just undo the bolts @ both ends and (if necessary) give the driveshaft a gentle tap with a mallet... You shouldn't need to do anything to the diff....

Remember to use threadlock on the bolts afterwards (and degrease the Lobro bolts first if you're going to re-use them)!!! Diff bolts coming out is not nice!!

I want to take the outpit shafts/flanges out of the diff, not remove the drive shafts as I don't have any I just have the diff. I think mookaloid gets my jist and has confermed my thoughts.
Thanks for your replies
