
Guys, looking on RS components at pressure switches for an inline brake light switch, can any one tell me the pressure rating of there brake light
switches, an example is shown in the link below, would this work?

They are stupid money, why not just buy a proper brake light switch, e.g. from a mini?

This one is £6 from CBS

That switch would not be enough, I imagine vehicle brake system pressures are in the 100s of bar level. As above, why not just use an automotive brake light switch?

I'll get the mini one from ebay, i order stuff for a work project out of rs and they sent extra parts and charged me, so instead of a refund you
get vouchers and i dont use them very much, due to cost, so its sitting here burning a hole. But it'll keep.

Just do what i did and go see your friendly Motor Factors tell them your ideas and its for a kit car and ask for two terminaled pressure brake switch
and inline union.
They raided old box of brass unions and found a threeway one. Sensor in on and brake pipes in other two.
