Hi, the ball joint in my Sierra track control arm is a bit 'noisy'. Is there a way to add grease to it?

If its noisy there's a good chance it is just knackered and need replacing.

If the ball-joint has rust on it, replace it.
It won't be lasting long.

Normal a ball-joint is greased for life.
Just remove cover and check the balljoint.

.... unless it is on a land rover ... you can drill the cover and fit a grease nipple but as ^^^^ said, if it is noisy, then most likley the ball has rusted. last thing you want is the ball joint seaizing or failing especially when they are peanuts to replace. (hard bit is removing them).

Available from all good motor factors for a~£7 per side so repace both as a matter of routine.

According to Haynes manual, the complete front lower arm must be renewed if the ball joint is worn. So how can I replace the ball joint (is it pressed i n?), and under which Ford part number can it be ordered?

Sidem is a aftermarket company in Belgium, so maybe cheaper.
