Daft quick question. Is it okay to tighten/slacken the spring seat on a suspension unit when the car is sat on the deck or should it be jacked to remove weight off the unit before adjusting?

Hate to screw something up at this stage

Thanks

Probably easier with the wheels off the deck and the suspension in full droop but that said I've done it with the car on the deck but a lot harder work!

If nothing else, it's much easier with the car jacked up. FWIW, it's also the correct way!

Hi depends how far you are moving it. If moving more than a few turns then better to lift weight off.

But if only mooving a turn or to for corner weighting ect then leave with weight on as you will have to resettle all the suspension again befor re checking weights or RH if lifted.

cheers matt

Either way spray a little WD40 or similar on the threads before turning them.
