The first one was done by a mechanical genius named Sbarro.
Since been copied here and in the states by custom bike builders.
Not much use I know.

Flawed concept. The idea is to have as small a bearing as possible to keep retained ball speeds down and to ensure a uniform bearing surface. Large bearings do not like high rpms, have a lot of drag and rarely feel as smooth as a small one. Do look nice though.

billy lane of choppers inc was the first i saw using 'hubless rear wheels' on choppers.......as covered on endless discovery channel chopper programmes.

not much on choppers is all that practical though, is it?

about as practical as a motorbike engine in a car.............heehee
