I'm using a 3.62:1 for now.

That should get me going, it's non LSD to be used with an R1 enigne - you may need the LSD with a Busa (someone will confirm this or otherwise).

I plan to upgrade to a Quaife ATB eventually.

I'm sure you can use a 3.38 with the busa engine, but they are getting hard to locate but not as hard as a 3.14. You may be o.k. with a 3.62 which are fairly common to get you going while you look for another.

A call to MNR will put you on the right track.

Freelander?

I have a brand new 3.38 ZF LSD that I no longer need (stop laughing everyone!).

Recently paid £1200 for it from Road and Race Transmissions.

3.38's are indeed rare... ZF one's particularly so (speak to RRT and Raceline - they can't get any!).

I could do it for £950.

Not locost - but certainly worth it!

i found a freelander diff for £150 i think it was, good price for a 3.21 diff. Too long for me anyway i expect, i really got it for the weight - 7kgs lighter than an open sierra diff. Plus it would require chassis mods to fit into the vortx.
