rallyingden - 10/9/07 at 05:15 PM

Thanks to all those who helped ID my gearbox.
Now I need help with a diff.
It looks like an LSD to me and has the following characters on it.

FORD 11620732 G24526

Any help would be great

Thanks

If it's the ratio you want, only way if there is no tag on the rear is to open it up and look at the crown wheel. The ratio is written in red pen and stamped on it too.

Thanks Stuart but I only need to know if it is indeed an LSD so I can chase info for servicing & setting up.

Try holding the input flange still, then turning the drive flanges in opposite directions. If its a lsd this will be almost impossible to do by hand, at least for a viscous (sierra) diff anyway, not certain whether its the same if its a plated lsd.

LSD's normally have a double A code. the corresponding code is normaly om a tag attached to the diff, rather than the diff casing itself.
