oval wish bone steel

has anyone found a supplier of oval section metal rather than round tube for making wishbones as I have some to make now and these are biggies.

You could also U2U Nitram38, I think he's made his 'bones using an elliptical shape...

tons parked outside your local supermarket

round tube and a long press bed, make sure the weld on the tube is at the bottom before you press it

mine came as offcuts from a rather grander project that is now sadly RIP

Try any steel stock holder and ask for flat oval tubing..or ikea as they seem to use it for 'puta desks

Hi if it's the STD stuff that most manufacturers use it's technical name is flat sided oval commonly referred to as furniture tubing .

However if you are after the proper stuff go direct to SPA as they supplie most of it to the others.

D Beddows has it right.

Ralt sell the proper CDS oval tubing for between £6 and £8 per metre. A fraction of the price that Spa want. They also sell spherical bearing housings to weld into the ends of the tubes to save you some time.
