Hi, any body into the Ford, (Teves), ABS system. I have found that if the car is not used for a few days, then the fluid level rises over an inch, (or more), above the Max line. My feeling, (could be wrong), is that it's the master cylinder seals letting by? If this is the case, is it possable to renew the seals myself, or is it a specialist only job, (Haynes say it is, but the book does tell lies at times). Cheers Ray

Seen as no specialst has come forwars yet i'll suggest something basicc:

Its not old fluid thats taken on water is it?

And the waters expanding or the brake fluid is floating ontop making it appear the level is rising.

No the fluid was replaced last year, and it was all OK when it was done. This problem has only occured in the last couple of months. Cheers Ray

The ABS system has hydraulic pressure accumulator it sounds like it is leeking back into the system --- I think this might be normal but not sure.

I have actually got the electronic unit to interrogate the Teves system but have never used it.

Your MC is not the problem. Cause it is normal to have a flow-back. It is in fact necessary.

So it must be in some off the ABS-parts which causes this height-difference

ABS self diagnostics are pretty smart if somthing is wrong it will put the warning light on.
